Media Release

“By attending an event, I grant Stupid Strong the right to take photographs and videos of me and my family in connection with all activities including volunteering, attending, and organizing events. Stupid Strong may use such photographs and videos of me with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including for example such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, Facebook, and Web content. I authorize Stupid Strong, its assigns, subsidiaries, and transferees to copyright, use, and publish the same in print and/or electronically. I relinquish and give to Stupid Strong all right, title, and interest I may have in the photographs and videos; waive any and all right to approve the use of such photographs and videos; waive any right to compensation for the publication or other use of said photographs and videos; and release DDF and its agents, licensees, representatives and assigns, from any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising from their use.”

Contact forms

When visitors contact Stupid Strong via our website, a message is collected with your name, email, message, and the name of your honoree – where applicable. Your information is kept confidential and is never shared outside of stupidstrong.org.

Store & Ticket Sales

Product and ticket sales are stored for tracking purposes. We collect billing information (such as name, email, and address) as needed. We do not store payment information. All payments are processed and stored securely through PayPal.

Donation Form

For those who make a direct contribution using our donation form, information such as the donor name, email address, and amount donated is collected. Direct donations are processed and stored securely through PayPal.

Comments

If visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Information on visitors who have purchased products and/or tickets is stored indefinitely.
